“The Elven Throne of Thorsagon” is a fantasy musical by Fairytale. It takes you on a magical sound adventure that blends musical and rock opera elements, ranging from Mystic Folk to Metal. For all fans of fantasy worlds like “Game of Thrones” or “Shannara Chronicles,” for all LARP enthusiasts, fantasy role-players, dragon fans, and dreamers, “The Elven Throne of Thorsagon” is a perfect fit.
The main character, Vicky, yearns to break free from the routine of her everyday life. An old man recommends a place she must see, and thus begins an adventure that leads Vicky from the human world deep into the mysterious realm of Thorsagon. With the forest elf Liora by her side, she must confront the dazzling magician Razar.
With great passion, dedication, and musical finesse, Fairytale ventures into the world of musicals. The songs for “The Elven Throne of Thorsagon” were written by Laura Isabel Biastoch and Oliver Oppermann. Oliver Oppermann is also responsible for the plot of the piece. Karl-Heinz March, an experienced playwright known for successful children’s musicals such as “Lauras Stern,” “The Little Vampire,” and “Little Chief Winnetou,” assisted in creating the libretto. Together, they have crafted a captivating musical experience.
For me, it was a fantastic experience to be allowed to photograph Fairytale and all other participants during the rehearsals and the premiere over seven days.
